Reference for your trips across the UK border

At your request, we can run a reference request on your journeys across the UK border. You may need it if:

• you cannot find details or remember your absences when applying for citizenship when you need to know the number of days outside the UK
• you need to prove presence before Brexit or another period when applying for settled status.

To make it easier you need to be able to use email – keep track of your mail, write letters, attach files.

Once we have received your payment and form, we will write to you about next steps to the email you have entered on the form.

You will need to follow our instructions exactly and send an email with attached documents to the border services.

Please note that the reference will come to your email in about 10-14 working days.
