If you have pre-settled status and want to apply for settled status, a period of absence from the UK longer than 6 months could cause a problem.
By law, you must not be out of the UK for more than 6 months for every 12 months if you want to move from pre-settled to settled status.
If you have a longer than authorised absence, there is a risk that your application will be refused and your plans to live and work in the UK may have no future.
However, in certain cases someone with a longer absence, which is between 6 and 12 months, may be granted permanent status for good reason.
There are some cases where absence of up to 12 months can be justified for reasons due to the 19 Kovid pandemic.
Each case is different and there is no one-size-fits-all solution.
If you have longer absences you should be very careful when applying. I advise you to prepare well and not make mistakes that could cost you a refusal of permanent status.
For your application to be successful, it must be done correctly, you must have the necessary documents, explain the problem and make the services believe you.
As a licensed immigration company, we can help in getting your application launched and your chances of success are much greater.
The price can be determined after the consultation when we get to know your case. Normally starts from £220.
